This beautiful and bio-diverse wetland site in Idaho began in 2002 as 291 acres of degraded industrial property. Private conservation investment in restoration here at the Valencia Wetland Mitigation Bank has created habitats for Tundra Swans, Bald Eagles, Hooded Mergansers, and nesting Great Blue Herons (like this one) along with many other species of birds, fish and other wildlife. With the commitment to conservation easements put over this restored landscape, the project will remain in its restored condition in perpetuity.
