The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) is a national, non-profit organization created when members of the boating and fishing industry, along with conservation leaders, got concerned that boaters and anglers were spending much less time on the water. They feared too many people had either forgotten or never experienced the joys of recreational boating and fishing and that those folks didn’t realize those activities could both enrich their lives while also contributing to a healthier environment.
The RBFF created a wide variety of programs and products that make it easier for people to get out to boat and fish. Examples include the TakeMeFishing.org and VamosAPescar.org websites that provide online tools to help people get started so they can learn, plan and equip for a day on the water.
RBFF is one of the sponsors of the upcoming April 8 & 9 Virginia Fly Fishing & Wine Festival in Doswell, VA so check out all the useful tools on TakeMeFishing.org and go wet a line with your family. THI CEO Mike Sprague will also be at the festival when he talking about making streams more fish friendly.
