Coldwater in a Warming Climate

As a new U.S. administration focuses on the global risks of our changing climate, the conservation and restoration for our nations streams and wetlands, as well as their associated riparian areas could not be more pressing.  In our headwaters, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates a frightening decline in cold water fisheries by the end of this century.  Unmitigated climate change is projected to reduce habitat suitable for coldwater fisheries in the U.S. by as much as 62% by 2100.
