My Top Ten Water Wishes 2016

My Top Water Wishes for the New Year include a quick look back at some of the important water stories that streamed from our offices this past year.

  1. Wishing for increased recognition of the vital, intrinsic relationships between our economy and ecology. >More
  1. Wishing that those who have (water) will help to provide for those who have not. >More
  1. Wishing for increased support to train and equip the next generation of conservation stewards. >More 
  1. Wishing that data and science replace politics and opinion, in decisions over our most precious natural resource. >More
  1. Wishing that we prioritize ecological restoration, recognizing the vital importance of this work to ecosystem services like drinking water supplies. >More
  1. Wishing that the recent Paris climate accord will jump start critical mitigation for the effects of our rapidly changing climate. >More
  1. Wishing that invasive and damaging strategies for species ‘restoration’ will be abolished. >More
  1. Wishing we may all share important data ultimately vital to human survival. >More
  1. Wishing that all governments, including the federal family, step up to support private-public partnerships to restore water resources and species habitats. >More
  1. Wishing that we may all do well by doing good in 2016! >More
