Trout Headwaters CEO to Participate in White House Roundtable on Ecological Restoration Today

March 7, 2016

Washington, DC – March 7, 2016 – Trout Headwaters, Inc. (THI) CEO Michael Sprague will be joining senior agency officials today in the Roosevelt Room to discuss private investments in conservation and ecological restoration.

The event is a follow on to the November 3, 2015 Presidential Memorandum encouraging private investment in America’s natural resources.  Agency officials will confer with Sprague and other environmental industry leaders later today to discuss how public-private partnerships can best be leveraged to restore and conserve our nation’s vital natural resources.

In a statement shortly before the event, The White House said “President Obama has prioritized working with business leaders because environmental protection and economic growth go hand in hand.” The statement added “These investments highlight the ability to leverage the Administration’s work to encourage private investment in the health and restoration of our natural resources and the significant opportunities for the private sector to invest in conservation across the country.”

Sprague is expected to announce that THI along with its partners will make a significant near-term investment to help answer advance mitigation needs from the Department of Interior, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and others.
