The sagebrush lizard (Sceloporus graciosus) is a common species of lizard found at mid to high altitudes in the western United States of America. Named after the sagebrush near where it is commonly found, the lizard has keeled and spiny scales running along its dorsal surface.
Three variations of the sagebrush lizard are recognized: the southern sagebrush lizard in Southern California, and the western and northern variations found in many western states, including Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, Montana, Washington, New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona.
This lizard moves along a dry stream bed recently on a THI site in southern Montana.
