March 6, 2018

The National Environmental Banking Association (NEBA) is a proud sponsor of the 2018 National Mitigation and Ecosystem Banking Conference (NMEBC). Entering its 21st year, NMEBC is committed to advancing and protecting the environment in a financially sustainable way. The 2018 event will take place May 7-11 in Louisville, KY. This year’s program will again include interactive sessions, panels, moderated forums, and training opportunities.

Following are several of the NEBA sessions and NEBA sponsored events that you won’t want to miss at this year’s conference.  See Full Program Here

WEDNESDAY, MAY 9

8-8:45 am –  ANNUAL MEETING

Join NEBA founding board member and THI CEO Michael Sprague and mitigation bankers from across the U.S. at this important annual event. Become a Regular Member before NMEBC and save on your registration (contact info@environmentalbanking.org).

9-9:30 am  – MEET MITIGATION ANALYST LITE

NEBA’s Mitigation Analyst Lite, developed by Trout Headwaters, provides the key to understanding patterns, trends, and insights previously locked away in unrelated, incompatible databases. This powerful interactive system enables rapid ‘mash-ups’ of multiple databases, converting hundreds of thousands of lines of raw data into practical, useable information for the most discriminating users.  Informative visualizations like graphs, charts, and maps now take only seconds to revise, enabling quick analysis of market conditions in a selected service area, state, ecoregion, watershed, county, or another delineated area.

4-5:30 pm – PLENARY: THE ROLE OF STATES IN BANKING

Royal Gardner, Director of the Institute for Biodiversity Law and Policy, Stetson University College of Law, will moderate an informative session highlighting some of the challenges around state participation in mitigation programs and banking.  Donna Collier, Chairwoman of NEBA will help lead a discussion on the appropriate role of states in mitigation efforts and the importance of private markets in such programs.

5:30-7pm – CONFERENCE RECEPTION

NEBA and MSUSA will sponsor a welcome reception for NMEBC attendees.

Trout Headwaters and the NEBA Board of Directors are looking forward to seeing you at this year’s conference! Please be sure to stop by the NEBA booth to learn more about the important work currently being done in support of the Mitigation and Ecosystem Banking Industry.
